Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Sioux Falls seeks a licensed physician to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and patient care within our established practice.

The role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating patients per approved protocols, delivering health education, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, maintaining records, collaborating with the care team, and upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor with license to practice medicine in the state of service
• Doctor of Osteopathy with license to practice medicine in the state of service

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients per approved protocols and standards.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.
• Interprets diagnostic information and formulates a care plan.
• Maintains patient records accurately and thoroughly.
• Ensures patient safety and aseptic practices.
• Collaborates with care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Complies with applicable laws, policies, and standards.
