Job summary

Ascension in Texas is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA) to join a high-volume urology practice in an outpatient setting. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, diagnose conditions, and manage complex urological care from initial assessment to treatment.

Join a physician-led team within a nationally respected nonprofit health system. Eligible candidates will have NCCPA certification, Texas PA licensure, BLS, and prior urology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; master's degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• BLS provider within 30 days of hire; NCCPA certification.
• Texas Medical Board and Texas PA Board licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnose urological conditions.
• Manage complex urological health needs from initial evaluation to treatment.
• Perform specialized urological procedures and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and families on prevention and treatment options.
• Streamline documentation for high-quality patient records and care coordination.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Physician Assistant Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred.
