Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN is hiring a Medical Assistant to join the Urology Care team. This 1.0 FTE role (80 hours per two-week pay period) is benefits-eligible with clinic hours Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–6:00 PM and Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Graduate of an LPN program.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association/Red Cross/MTN).
• Clinical externship required for non-certified MA with <6 months MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care as delegated by the physician/RN to the assigned patient population.
• Follows the patient’s plan of care and prioritizes tasks accordingly.
• Performs high- and low-risk procedures including medication administration and lab draws.
• Documents care in the medical record and communicates with the health care team.
• Maintains confidentiality and provides patient education as needed.
• Ensures continuity of care and supports workflow improvements.
