Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Specialty Care team. This 1.0 FTE position supports patient-centered care and documentation, following care plans and collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure smooth visits.

The role emphasizes respectful communication, accurate charting, and adherence to policies. Eligible for up to a $2,000 New Hire Sign On Bonus; weekend-free schedule according to clinic hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Clinical externship required for non-certified MA applicants with less than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner or RN.
• Follow the patient's plan of care and prioritize based on acuity and resources.
• Document care and ensure accurate medical records.
• Communicate effectively with the health care team and patients/families.
• Participate in care coordination to ensure continuity of care.
