Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician to join our team. Responsibilities include preparing ureteroscopy and laser equipment, assisting urologists during procedures, and maintaining inventory and documentation per HIPAA guidelines.

The role requires OR experience, a scrub tech or surgical technologist background, and a focus on sterile technique and patient safety. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist or similar background preferred.
• Prior OR experience preferred.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an OR setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with Laser protocols.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist in performing ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility 60 minutes prior to start.
• Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Confirm schedule, number of procedures and start times with facilities.
• Maintain after-hours contact at each site for equipment issues or emergencies.
• Maintain relationships with physician partners.
• Keep Policies & Procedure Manuals current and review before inspections.
• Prepare and transport equipment, clean and disinfect, restock supplies.
