The Urology Scrub Technician role supports laser procedures, ureteroscopy setup, and instrument readiness in OR settings. Prior OR and urology experience highly valued, with emphasis on maintaining sterile technique and HIPAA-compliant records.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist or similar background preferred.
• Prior OR experience preferred.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience working in Operation Room setting.
• Prior experience with Holmium Laser utilization for Urology procedures a plus.
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with Laser protocols.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist in performing ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility no later than 60 minutes prior to the start of the procedure.
• Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs according to HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule, number of patient procedures and start times.
• Maintain relationships with physician partners.
• Maintain Policies & Procedures Manuals and update prior to inspections.
• Prepare equipment for transport and ensure cleanliness and readiness.
