Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking an Urology Scrub Technician to support OR procedures, set up laser equipment, and assist urologists during surgeries. The role requires maintaining logs, inventory, and communicating with facilities to ensure timely patient care.

The ideal candidate has CST or scrub tech credentials, at least 1 year in an OR, and experience with urology and holmium lasers. Competitive benefits are provided; on-site work at partner facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or CST preferred.
• 1 year OR experience minimum.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Sterilization protocols knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedures.
• Assist Urologist during ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility 60 minutes before procedures.
• Maintain treatment and billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Manage inventory of cystoscopy equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with facilities for schedules and start times.
• Ensure emergency contacts available and notify service engineer if needed.
• Maintain relationships with physician partners and keep manuals up to date.
• Prepare equipment for transport and perform cleaning/disinfection.
