Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician to support OR procedures, ureteroscopy and laser treatments. You will prepare and position equipment, assist the urologist, and ensure accurate treatment and billing logs while following HIPAA policies.

Experience in urology OR settings and familiarity with laser protocols are preferred. The role includes maintaining supply inventories and coordinating with facilities to schedule procedures and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working in Operation Room setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with all Laser protocols.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist in performing ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility no later than 60 minutes prior to the start of the procedure.
• Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs according to HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule, number of patient procedures and start times.
• Maintain after-hours contact at each facility for equipment failure or emergencies.
• Maintain relationships with physician partners.
• Maintain Policies & Procedure Manuals and review updates prior to inspections.
• Upkeep of equipment and supplies for efficient procedures, including cleaning and disinfecting.
• Notify service engineer of any malfunctioning equipment.
• Laser Specialist will wear a company name badge on premises.
