Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic RN Care Coordinator (RN) for the Liberty site to support physicians during clinic sessions, coordinate patient care, and educate patients for optimal outcomes.

This full-time role requires an active RN license (multi-state preferred), 2+ years of RN experience, and BLS certification, with a focus on safe, evidence-based care, patient advocacy, and effective collaboration with care teams.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, Bachelor Degree in Nursing, and 2+ years RN experience.
• Licensed RN with multi-state license and current BLS certification.
• Basic typing and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient flow, triage, and direct patient care.
• Liaison between front desk, nursing staff, physicians, and clinic manager.
• Coordinate continuity of patient care across admissions, discharge, and ER visits.
• Educate patients and families about the plan of care and medications.
• Document assessments and plans using EMR; maintain patient confidentiality.
