Job summary

John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital (JHSH) of Cook County Health (CCH) invites an Attending Physician XII (Urologist) to deliver high-quality clinical and surgical care to patients within the CCH system. The role includes participation in the on-call schedule as determined by the Division Chief.

The position also entails supervising fellows, residents, and medical students, advancing research, and contributing to academic and clinical programs while adhering to hospital and IRB guidelines.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited college/university.
• Illinois medical license is required before starting employment.
• Board Certification in Urology or on pathway to certification within five years.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and treatment services for benign and malignant urologic disease.
• Maintain clinic and OR duties as scheduled (clinic days and OR days).
• Obtain and maintain surgical privileges; stay clinically active at Stroger Hospital/Provident as assigned.
• Ensure timely and thorough medical record documentation.
• Educate fellows, residents, and medical students rotating in the division.
• Respond to on-call queries and coordinate with other Attending Physicians.
