Hospital, General Internal Medicine, seeks an Attending Physician VI-SC Primary Care to provide ambulatory and inpatient adult care, educate medical trainees, and contribute to quality improvement and program development within the Division of General Internal Medicine. The role requires board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, IL physician license, and the ability to travel to Cook County Health worksites.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited college or university.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or board eligibility within two years of starting employment.
• Licensed as a Physician and Surgeon in the State of Illinois.
• Cleared for privileges by Medical Staff Services by start of employment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides general medical ambulatory and inpatient care to adults.
• Educates medical trainees including medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participates in quality improvement and quality assurance activities.
• Follows the direction of the head of each clinical area of work.
• Works varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travels to worksites throughout Cook County Health.
