Job summary

John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital (JHSH) of Cook County Health (CCH) seeks an Attending Physician XII (Urologist) to provide clinical and surgical services, participate in the on‑call schedule, supervise fellows and residents, and contribute to clinical trials and department committees.

The role requires MD/DO, Illinois medical license, and Board Certification in Urology or an approved pathway within five years, plus privilege clearance before start.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited college or university is required.
• Licensed as a Physician and Surgeon in Illinois before starting.
• Board Certification in Urology or on pathway within five years.
• Must be cleared for privileges by Medical Staff Services by start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and surgical services for urologic disease.
• Maintain clinical activity and participate in on‑call schedule.
• Supervise fellows, residents, medical students, and staff.
• Engage in clinical trials, research, and administrative committees.
