Job summary

AtWork Personnel invites applications for a cook position at a medical facility in Tyler, TX. You will prepare, cook, and plate meals for patients and staff, following patient-specific recipes and portion guidelines while ensuring high sanitation and safety standards.

Shifts include 12pm-8:30pm, 5:30am-2pm, and rotating early hours; work Monday-Friday plus every other weekend. A nationwide background check and drug screening are required, and weekend/holiday availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience is required.
• Proficient in cooking and food preparation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and nutrition.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions accurately.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass a nationwide background check and drug screening.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Come and join our team as a Cook! A medical facility in Tyler, TX is HIRING!

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday + every other weekend

Available Shifts:

• 12pm-8:30pm Cook & Serve


• 5:30am-2pm Cook & Serve


• Rotating Shifts: 6am-2:30pm/8am-4:30pm Gill Cook & Serve

Rate of pay:

• $16 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and plate meals for patients, staff, and special events, following specific recipes and portion guidelines.


• Follow all sanitation and food safety protocols, including temperature control, proper storage, and maintaining a clean work area.


• Monitor and order food supplies, and track inventory to ensure freshness and availability.


• Assist in other areas/ or duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is required


• Proficient in cooking and food prep techniques


• Strong understanding offood safety, sanitation, and nutrition


• Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions accurately


• Knowledge of operation of kitchen equipment


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and a drug screening test
