Job summary

Responsibilities include patient rounds, ID verification, bed making, posture and safety tasks, and reporting to supervisors. Candidates should be in good health and able to work with elderly residents in a supportive, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months of CNA experience or clinical CNA in training.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work tactfully with residents, families, staff.
• Demonstrates patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• In good health and emotionally stable.
• Must relate to ill, elderly, and sometimes hostile individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours.
• Verify resident ID before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled with fresh drinking water and within the resident's reach.
• Carry out other duties as directed by supervisors.
