Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA training.
• Genuine desire to care for the ill, aged, and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Good health and emotional stability are required.
• Ability to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and sometimes difficult residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands immediately to admissions staff.
• Make beds and keep bedside/overbed areas clean.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled and accessible to residents.
• Carry out other duties as directed by nursing leadership.
