Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. The role requires CNA eligibility or licensure and at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities include assisting residents, rounds every two hours, ID verification before care or meals, and maintaining clean, safe environments. Bilingual applicants are a plus and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a nursing assistant program or licensed CNA.
• At least 1 year of CNA experience.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged, and infirm.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Must have patience, tact, and enthusiasm for residents at their current maturity level.
• Must be in good health and emotionally stable.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and challenging individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident ID before care or meals to ensure correct recipient.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator promptly.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled, and reachable by residents.
• Carry out other duties as directed by supervisors/administrators.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.
