Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision, ensuring resident comfort and safety in a long-term care setting. The role involves regular rounds, identification verification, and collaboration with nursing staff to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CNA license and have at least 6 months of CNA experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to work harmoniously with staff and residents.
• Demonstrates emotional stability, patience and enthusiasm.
• Willingness to handle residents with varying levels of maturity.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at the start of each shift and every two hours thereafter.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals to ensure correct recipient.
• Report missing ID bands promptly to the admission coordinator.
• Maintain resident beds, bedside and overbed tables, and ensure water pitchers are clean and within reach.
• Accept other related duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, or Administration.
