Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to balance high-quality imaging with clinical support duties in an urgent care environment. The role involves performing X-ray exams, adhering to ALARA, and collaborating with providers for timely care.

The position requires ARRT certification (R.T. (R)) and a current BLS, with 1+ year urgent care imaging experience preferred. Flexibility to cover MA/MR duties and other radiology tasks is valued in AFC’s fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified (R.T. (R)) in good standing and RT/Rad Tech license where required.
• Current BLS certification.
• 1+ year urgent care/ER imaging experience preferred.
• Strong insurance verification and EMR documentation skills.
• Flexible team player willing to cover MA/MR duties.
• Experience in radiology, CT, or MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as an X-Ray Technologist in urgent care operations.
• Perform diagnostic radiology (X-ray) exams safely, following ALARA.
• Collaborate with providers for timely care.
• Flex into MA clinical duties (triage, labs, venipuncture, wound care) when not performing imaging.
• Support MR tasks (insurance verification, registration, payment collection).
• Maintain equipment QC and compliance logs.
