Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our East Nashville team. The role includes performing x-ray tests, preparing rooms, and supporting Medical Assistant duties.

Full-time with rotating 36-40 hour weeks and every-other weekend; PRN available. Requires HS diploma, BLS, and TN X-Ray license; ARRT preferred and MA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• TN State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon entry to the waiting area, exam room, or x-ray room.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients to the next steps in treatment.
• Address patient questions and assist in emergent or hazardous situations.
• Perform follow-up calls with urgency.
• Assist front desk with check-in/check-out when needed.
• Document vital signs, history, medications, allergies, and other pertinent information.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Maintain documentation for each patient visit and radiology procedures.
• Ensure radiology procedures are prepared and conducted safely, following radiation protection protocols.
