American Family Care, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant / BXMO front desk professional to greet and triage patients, perform vitals, venipuncture, and basic imaging while verifying insurance at registration. You'll support accurate EMR entry and patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role requires MA program completion, active MA certs, and BLS; Florida BXMO or Alabama X-ray licensure depending on location. Ambulatory care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent).
• Active BLS certification required or must be obtained within onboarding period.
• Florida BXMO license required.
• Alabama Limited Scope X-Ray license required.
• At least 1+ year MA experience with insurance verification and patient registration.
• Urgent care or ER experience valued.
• Proficiency with EMR (Experity preferred) and payer portals (Waystar).
• Venipuncture and specimen collection skills.

Responsabilités

• Greet and triage patients, take vitals, and document histories.
• Perform venipuncture and CLIA-waived point-of-care testing.
• Assist with X-ray imaging within licensed scope.
• Register patients, verify eligibility, collect co-pays, and ensure EMR accuracy.
• Educate patients and provide clear discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance logs and support infection-control and safety standards.
