About Us

At Country Animal Hospital, we are a passionate team dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care to our community. We are expanding our urgent care services to better meet the needs of our clients and their pets during evenings and weekends. We are looking for an experienced (preferred but not required) / compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our urgent care team.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Veterinary Technician to assist with our growing urgent care service. The ideal candidate will be confident, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in supporting veterinarians in the treatment and care of patients during after-hours emergencies and urgent visits.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Perform laboratory tests, radiographs, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with discharge instructions.
  • Ensure all equipment and exam areas are clean, stocked, and ready.
Qualifications
  • Certified or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting (urgent/emergency care a plus).
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-stress situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Shift Availability
  • Shifts (10AM – 8PM)
  • Weekend coverage (Saturday 9-3)
  • Flexible schedule preferred
