Job summary

Livewell Animal Urgent Care of Minnetonka is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced urgent care team. You will assist veterinarians and technicians with hands-on patient care in emergencies, helping keep operations smooth and delivering compassionate support to clients.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of veterinary experience, ER or high-volume exposure preferred, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience, ER or high-volume experience preferred.
• Ability to stay calm, composed, and efficient during a medical crisis.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets, with proficiency in basic laboratory, pharmacy, and nursing tasks.
• Strong communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Be a Critical Support in Urgent Situations: You'll be an essential part of the medical team, directly assisting veterinarians and technicians with hands-on patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure a Seamless Workflow During a Crisis: Your ability to anticipate needs and maintain composure will be key to keeping the clinic running efficiently, even during a medical emergency.
• Provide a Calming Presence for Clients: You'll be a reassuring point of contact for worried pet owners, assisting with check-ins, payments, and communications with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain High Standards Under Pressure: You'll uphold our commitment to excellence by ensuring accurate record-keeping and maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment at all times.
