Mission Pet Health is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in a fast-paced setting. You will help with hands-on patient care, admissions, and client interactions, contributing to efficient crisis response and high-quality care.

The role requires at least 1 year of veterinary experience, calmness under pressure, and strong teamwork. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected to accommodate clinic needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience, with ER or high-volume experience preferred.
• The ability to stay calm, composed, and efficient during a medical crisis.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets, with proficiency in basic laboratory, pharmacy, and nursing skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• A flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be a Critical Support in Urgent Situations by assisting veterinarians and technicians with hands-on patient care.
• Ensure a Seamless Workflow During a Crisis by anticipating needs and maintaining composure to keep the clinic running smoothly.
• Provide a Calming Presence for Clients as a reassuring point of contact for check-ins, payments, and communications.
• Maintain High Standards Under Pressure by upholding accurate record-keeping and a clean, safe hospital environment.
