Livewell Animal Urgent Care of East Nashville is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced team. You will support veterinarians and technicians with hands-on patient care in urgent situations, helping maintain smooth clinic workflow and a compassionate client experience.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of veterinary experience (ER or high-volume preferred), can stay calm under pressure, and works well in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience, ER or high-volume preferred.
• Ability to stay calm, composed, and efficient during a medical crisis.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets, with proficiency in basic laboratory, pharmacy, and nursing skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• A flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be a Critical Support in Urgent Situations: You'll assist veterinarians and technicians with hands-on patient care.
• Ensure a Seamless Workflow During a Crisis: Maintain composure to keep the clinic running smoothly.
• Provide a Calming Presence for Clients: Assist with check-ins, payments, and communications with empathy.
