Job summary

Animal Emergency & Referral Center Of Minnesota is seeking an ER & ICU Day Shift Technician Assistant to join a fast-paced veterinary team in Oakdale. You will work with experienced technicians and veterinarians, restrain and assist with procedures, prepare supplies, collect basic diagnostics, maintain clean exam rooms, and support EMR workflows while delivering excellent client care.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with animals in a clinical, shelter, or veterinary setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfort working in a busy, high-acuity environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems.
• Ability to stand, lift, and assist with animal handling for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely restrain patients and support procedures as directed.
• Be an extra set of hands, where ever the team needs you the most.
• Prepare supplies, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Collect and run basic diagnostics as trained.
• Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
• Support accurate documentation and workflow in the EMR.
• Communicate clearly and calmly with team members in high-stress situations.
• Support technicians and doctors with patient care and treatments.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
