Job summary

Livewell Animal Urgent Care of Shoreview is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced emergency team. You will assist with triage, patient monitoring, anesthesia support, and critical care under veterinary supervision.

This role emphasizes calm decision-making, clear communication with pet owners, and collaboration across a national Mission Pet Health network, with opportunities for professional development and leadership within the practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license in good standing.
• One year of experience in a veterinary setting preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Be a lifeline for patients in crisis, triage, stabilize, monitor, and provide critical care under veterinarian supervision.
• Provide clarity in critical moments by explaining treatments, reviewing discharge instructions, and reassuring pet owners.
• Lead and elevate the team by guiding colleagues, ensuring smooth workflow and collaborative atmosphere.
• Ensure seamless care with accurate record-keeping for handoffs, case management, and cross-team communication.
