Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO, is seeking a full-time urgent care professional to provide emergent/urgent patient care under supervision. The role operates on-site with days shifts and a 68-hour pay period (2 weeks).

The pay ranges from $21.49 to $27.94 per hour, depending on experience. The position requires high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, IV proficiency, and licensure such as CMA/RMA/EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic/LPN, with no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Required Licensure/Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider; IV proficiency; one of CMA, RMA, EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic, military medic, or LPN.
• Minimum Experience: None.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput; keeps patients apprised of delays.
• Observes patients and notifies the provider and/or RN if patient is in distress; prepares patients to see the provider; assists during examination.
• Inserts Foley catheters, performs complex splinting, and venipuncture for drawing blood or saline lock.
• Maintains exam and treatment rooms; cleans equipment; ensures supply levels and orders supplies as directed.
• Works with critical thinking in a fast-paced environment and with minimal supervision.
