Job summary

UCHealth Elk Lakes Medical Center in Greeley, CO, is hiring for an onsite urgent care role. You will provide emergent/urgent patient care under supervision and support physicians, PAs, and RNs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, IV proficiency within 6 months, and essential credentials such as CMA/RMA/EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic/LPN with BLS/CPR certification. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• IV proficiency per department guidelines within 6 months.
• One of the following credentials: CMA; RMA; EMT, EMT-I, or Paramedic; LPN.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; card in-hand before start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput and inform patients of delays.
• Observes patients and notifies provider/RN if distress; prepares patient for examination.
• Inserts Foley catheters, performs complex splinting, and venipuncture for drawing blood or saline lock.
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment; ensures supply levels and orders supplies as directed.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and decisive judgment.
