UCHealth in Erie, CO seeks an urgent care professional to provide emergent/urgent patient care under supervision. This onsite role requires handling fast-paced situations, preparing patients for exams and assisting providers throughout the visit.
Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, performing procedures such as caths and venipuncture, and maintaining rooms and supplies. BLS and IV proficiency are required within specified timelines, with compensation based on experience.

Pay: $21.49 – $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Provides emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and/or registered nurse.
Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput; keeps patients apprised of delays.
Observes patients and notifies the provider and/or RN immediately if patient appears in distress. Prepares patients to see the provider; assists prior to, during, and following examination.
Inserts Foley catheters, performs complex splinting, and performs venipuncture for the purpose of drawing blood or inserting a saline lock.
Maintains exam and treatment rooms and other areas. Cleans equipment following established guidelines. Ensures that established standard supply levels are maintained; orders supplies as directed.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. IV proficiency per department guidelines within 6 months and is tracked at the department level. One of the following credentials: CMA; RMA; State licensure as EMT, EMT-I, or Paramedic; completion of military medic course (no renewal required); Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
