Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Scribe Tech to capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR and assist physicians with basic patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

You will help direct patient flow, manage inventory, follow up on labs, and ensure DOH compliance. This role offers meaningful exposure to CNA/MA/EMT career paths and a pathway to healthcare advancement. Pay rate is $20.58 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; undergraduate degree a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus; training provided.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language skills required; attention to detail essential.
• Must be a team player with strong organizational skills.
• Bilingual language skills preferred based on site location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Capturing accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR.
• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Directing patient flow, inventory, and following up on labs.
• Ensuring site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
