Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care in Perry, GA is seeking talented physicians to deliver exceptional patient care in a high-quality urgent care setting. The role reports to the Regional Medical Director and requires board certification or eligibility, DEA registration, and experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality medical care with appropriate resource management for patients (adults and children).
• Adhere to Piedmont Urgent Care service and courtesy standards to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Provide patient care in compliance with bylaws, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as a resource for patient/family and staff.
• Document all services rendered accurately and completely.
• Complete necessary documentation and communicate to facilitate patient care and reimbursement.
• Participate in meetings/activities to support urgent care operations.
• Pursue professional development and maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS).
• Report to the Regional Medical Director.
