Job summary

NextCare is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care team on Tucson, AZ. Clinicians will work three 12-hour shifts per week with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week, including every other weekend and some holidays.

Compensation ranges from $60-$80/hour plus a monthly productivity bonus. The role emphasizes autonomy, variety, and community impact within a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

Qualifications

• National board certification or eligibility (NCCPA) required.
• Active DEA license.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• BLS certification.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
