Job summary

NextCare in Tucson, AZ, seeks a full-time clinician to join its urgent care team. The role offers three 12-hour shifts weekly, no after-hours tasks, and a monthly productivity bonus. Expect a fast-paced clinic with strong clinical mentorship and a patient mix that keeps skills sharp.

Active AZ NP/PA license with board certification or eligibility is required, along with DEA and BLS. EHR proficiency and DOT readiness are also expected.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AZ license for NP | PA.
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable.
• PA: NCCPA certification.
• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required).
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification.
• EHR proficiency.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management.
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
