Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) for the Pantops Urgent Care location. You will serve as the main point of contact for patients, handle referrals, registration, demographics, insurance cards, and updating medical records efficiently.

Responsibilities include scheduling, transcription of orders, explaining financial options to patients, and maintaining accurate records while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Requires strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with medical billing procedures preferred.
• Proficiency in medical terminology; ICD-9/CPT knowledge a plus.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with respect and professionalism.
• Process admissions paperwork and verify insurance information.
• Answer internal and external calls in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Coordinate bed placement and inform Supervisor of issues.
