Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative (Medical Receptionist) to be the friendly first contact for patients and visitors. You will manage front-office operations, assist with administrative tasks, and support clinic workflow in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork, with a 3-day/12-hour shift schedule (7 AM to 7 PM) on-site in Novi, MI. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Education requirements listed: high school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• Experience: 1+ year in a medical/healthcare setting preferred.
• Skills: strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.
• Technical Skills: strong computer skills; EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Flexibility: ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays.
• Team Player: proactive, friendly, patient-focused service.

Responsabilités

• Warm Welcome: greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Insurance Verification: analyze health insurance benefits, verify eligibility, provide payment policies.
• Financial Responsibility: determine and collect patient financial responsibility.
• Collaborative Support: assist practice manager, providers, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Compliance: HIPAA/OSHA compliance and proper documentation.
• Administrative Duties: perform office procedures and operate medical equipment.
