Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care in Auburn, NY is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support clinicians, take patient histories, obtain vital signs, and assist with exams. If certified, phlebotomy may be performed, and you will help ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience or certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and obtain vital signs.
• Assist with lab tests and phlebotomy if certified.
• Complete paperwork for labs and tests in EMR.
• Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, glucose, etc.).
• Support registration and front desk activities to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Ensure equipment is functioning and stocked.
