Albany Med Health System is seeking a Patient Service Associate for the Guilderland location. The role focuses on greeting and registering patients, updating insurance information, and coordinating appointments to support efficient clinical operations.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, clerical experience, and familiarity with electronic health records. The position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment and uphold regulatory

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years office experience or 1 year in a medical practice preferred.
• Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Mansioni

• Register patients and update insurance information.
• Schedule visits and coordinate patient appointments.
• Explain financial obligations and help with regulatory forms.
• Support registration across multiple systems and assist clinical workflow.
• Adhere to payer requirements for referrals and authorizations.
• Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Communicate professionally with providers, patients, and staff.
• Maintain patient records in the EMR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
