Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative for an Express Care walk-in clinic. You will handle check-in/out, collect data and payments, validate insurance, schedule appointments, and process referrals and authorizations.

Daily duties include assembling registration data, entering demographics, assessing financial responsibility, and assisting patients with funding resources while maintaining a seamless, high-quality intake experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assemble data and documents for complete patient registration including insurance verifications and authorizations.
• Enter patient demographic information and use department applications for eligibility.
• Assess patient financial responsibility and collect co-pays and deductibles at admission.
• Inform referring physicians, patients, and families about payment methods and hospital policies.
• Obtain funding information and assist with funding resources for patients.
• Use payer resources to assess eligibility; initiate third-party referrals and charity care.
