Job summary

VillageMD in Alabama is seeking an Office Supervisor to manage urgent care site operations, ensuring an efficient patient flow and a welcoming environment. Responsibilities include scheduling with the Practice Manager, ordering supplies, and maintaining compliance.

The role emphasizes team leadership, staff development, and strong communication across providers and staff. It is an on-site position requiring flexibility for long shifts, weekends, and opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (will consider relevant management experience)
• Minimum 1 year of supervising or managing experience
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Good computer skills (PC, Microsoft Office)
• Exceptional communication skills; bilingual preferred based on site
• BLS certification required at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Manage site performance and patient flow
• Assist Practice Manager with scheduling for non-providers
• Order medical supplies, vaccinations, and office supplies
• Open and close the site as required
• Support administrative and operational responsibilities
• Build positive communication with providers and staff
• Provide coaching and development guidance
• Handle staff relations and performance management
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Interact with patients at discharge to ensure satisfaction
