Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care, in partnership with Community Health Network in Central Indiana, seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver a broad range of urgent care services to patients of all ages. You will assess, diagnose, and treat acute conditions, while escalating when necessary and documenting care in the EMR.

The role requires urgent care experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed NP or PA in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
• Master’s degree in Nursing and national NP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Work scheduled shifts of 4, 8, or 12 hours as assigned.
