Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Central Indiana is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide broad clinical services for patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assess, diagnose, and treat acute conditions, independently or with a physician, and elevate care when needed.

The role requires strong exam skills, ordering tests, minor procedures, and EMR documentation. A Master’s in Nursing and national NP certification are required, with 1 year of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed NP/PA in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting is required.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Work scheduled shifts of 4, 8, or 12 hours as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
