Job summary

Ascension Seton Westlake Urgent Care seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct outpatient care in a fast-paced environment. You will conduct histories, physicals, and procedures, and collaborate with physicians to provide high-quality patient care in Westlake, Texas.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing, Texas NP and RN licenses, and at least 2 years of NP experience in urgent or primary care. A BLS credential is preferred, with full autonomy in care delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: NP credential from Texas Board of Nursing required; RN credential from Texas Board of Nursing required.
• BLS Provider preferred; AED/ACLS accepted.
• DEA credentialed from the DEA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care to treat common illnesses and injuries, and perform procedures and diagnostics.
• Formulate treatment plans by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures.
• Provide counseling on wellness, treatment pathways and community resources to improve long‑term health.
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, pediatricians and specialists, including outpatient imaging and RX services.
• Practice with full clinical autonomy within the physician‑collaborative model.

Compensation And Benefits

• Base Hourly Rate: $60 - $70 per hour
• Productivity/Quality based incentives
• Annual CME allowance of $2,500 with CME hours provided
• Malpractice coverage, including tail coverage

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Join an established team of physicians and APPs.
• Practice setting: Outpatient.
• 4 weekend shifts per month requirement.
• APP coverage will include multi-site care.
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system.
• Deliver direct care to treat common illnesses and injuries, as well as performing procedures and diagnostics. Will conduct patient histories, physical assessments, and interventions to support and deliver compassionate patient care.
• Formulate treatment plans by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely intervention and continuity of care within a supportive, physician-collaborative practice model.
• Empower patients and families by providing clear counseling on wellness, treatment pathways, and community resources to improve long‑term wellness and self‑care.
• Support and coordinate care when higher levels of care are necessary, as well as ensuring timely follow‑up with primary care physicians, pediatricians, and specialists. In addition, outpatient imaging, physical therapy, and RX services are available to patients.
• Practice with full clinical autonomy, enabling you to operate at the full scope of your license.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care or Primary Care setting.
