Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) for our Olympia Fields urgent care. The role requires active RN and APRN licenses, a national board certification, DEA registration, IL CDS license if practicing in Illinois, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP as required. A Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.

No prior experience is necessary, and the schedule includes evenings and weekends. The incumbent will work within an interdisciplinary team, assess and manage patient care,

Qualifications

• Active RN and APRN licenses in state(s) of practice.
• Active national board certification in area of clinical practice.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire (if Illinois practice).
• Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and determines treatment plans appropriate for age and condition.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic studies and prescribes interventions.
• Provides health promotion and disease management counseling.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team and escalates when needed.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the EMR and adheres to billing practices.
