Qualifications

• Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Georgia
• Advanced degree from an accredited NP/PA program
• Current DEA registration
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
• Meets credentialing requirements for WellStreet Urgent Care
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality medical care with appropriate resource management for adult and pediatric patients with center physicians
• Deliver service excellence and patient satisfaction in line with Piedmont Urgent Care policies
• Provide patient care per professional bylaws and organizational procedures
• Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff
• Authenticate and document services and maintain accurate records
• Complete documentation to facilitate appropriate reimbursement
• Participate in meetings and activities to support Urgent Care operations
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS)
• Report to Regional VP of Clinical Operations and/or ACOD
