Job summary

UNC Health Care’s Urgent Care NP role in the Triangle area of NC seeks a full-time provider to treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries, and to support occupational health exams. The team includes RNs, CMAs, and physicians, with on-site X-ray and POC testing.

Positions are at UNC Rex-based clinics with a walk-in, reservation-based system. Ideal candidates have a NC NP license and 1–2 years in urgent or acute care, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• One to two years NP experience in acute/urgent care settings.
• NC licensure or ability to obtain.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with team collaboration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• DOT Certification.
• OSHA knowledge preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries in urgent care.
• Provide occupational health services and exams.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize on-site X-ray and point-of-care testing.
