Job summary

UNC Health operates Urgent Care clinics in the Triangle area of North Carolina and seeks part-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners to join an interdisciplinary team. Providers care for episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and perform occupational health exams at multiple UNC Rex-based Urgent Care locations.

These are employed positions with shift-based schedules and access to on-site X-Ray and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• One to two year/s NP work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting required
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries.
• Provide occupational health services and exams.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team of providers and staff.
• Coordinate with RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs and others on-site.
• Utilize on-site X-Ray and point-of-care testing as needed.
