Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team. We are a fast-paced, high-volume environment caring for patients of all ages with independent provider functions under physician supervision.

Requirements include a Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Georgia APRN/RN licensure, prescriptive authority eligibility, DEA license if applicable, and national certification in the area of practice.

Qualifications

• Suturing experience is required.
• Ability to see patients of all ages.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority through the Georgia Board of Nursing and/or Georgia Composite Medical Board.
• If applicable in setting, must have or be eligible to obtain a DEA license.
• Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
• Georgia license to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse required.
• Certification in the area of practice and appropriate for the population served from a nationally recognized certifying body required.

Responsibilities

• Abides by AHN Mission and Culture Commitments.
• Provides high quality patient care, including comprehensive history, exam, assessment, and treatment plan.
• Performs medical procedures as qualified and approved by medical staff.
• Orders and interprets lab and imaging tests.
• Prescribes medications and manages medications.
• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality; acts as patient advocate.
• Participates in performance improvement and practice activities.
