Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification as FNP or PNP preferred and required for practice as NP.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
• Writes prescriptions and administers medications.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations.
• Determines treatment plan for patient.
• Documents all patient encounters in the medical record.
• Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
• Attends and contributes to group/practice meetings and policy development.
• Serves as a clinical resource and role model for the health care team.
• Assesses practice needs and develops methods to meet them.
