Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Cedartown, GA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide autonomous urgent care in a fast-paced clinic, with weekend and holiday rotations. You will perform minor procedures, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with the team.

Responsibilities include ordering labs/imaging, documenting encounters, and advocating for patients. Candidates should hold a NP Master’s or DNP, active RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state one works.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority through the Medical Board.

Responsibilities

• Provides services in urgent care clinics autonomously in a care center, alone or with a secondary provider.
• Performs minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures and writes prescriptions.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations and determines treatment plans.
• Documents patient encounters and acts as a patient advocate.
• Participates in group meetings and develops policies when requested.
• Serves as a clinical resource and mentors others; assesses practice needs.
