Job summary

Washington Regional Urgent Care in Mountain Home, AR is seeking experienced Medical Assistants with clerical experience to join our team. The role combines clinical care in urgent care, occupational health, and workers’ compensation settings with medical receptionist responsibilities.

You will perform initial evaluations, take vital signs, assist with x-ray testing, and document patient information while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent; willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly in waiting area, exam room, and labs.
• Answer patient inquiries and guide through registration.
• Answer multi-line phones, file, fax, scan, and complete daily callbacks.
• Check in/out patients and close the office after shifts.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments, and post balances.
• Communicate wait times and direct next steps in treatment.
• Document vital signs, histories, meds, allergies and pertinent data.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Maintain clean patient areas and manage cash reconciliation.
